Lopen Karma Tenzin
I, Karma Tenzin, hailing from the beautiful valley of Autsho in Lhuntse Dzongkhag did my formal schooling at Dechencholing Middle Secondary School in Thimphu. I completed my Bhutan Certificate of Secondary Education (class X) from there in the year 2010. Yearning to be a monk, I got myself ordained as a monk on the fourth day of the first month of the Bhutanese calendar in 2011 and pursued my monastic education from Dodeydrak Buddhist Institute in Thimphu. I completed the Intermediary Course from Zindra Losar to Zindra Zhepa from Dodeydrak Buddhist Institute. From there, I was fortunate enough to have got the opportunity to do my Bachelor of Arts (Shastri) in Buddhist Philosophy at Sangchen Chokhor Buddhist College in Paro. Upon completion of my Bachelors Degree, I was lucky to have received my degree certificate from the Tsugla Lopen Samten Dorji of Zhung Dratshang. Due to my hard work and dedication, I got yet another golden opportunity to pursue my further studies at Dorden Tashithang Buddhist University where I did my Masters of Arts in Buddhist Studies. I completed my M.A in 2021 and received my master’s certificate from non-other than his Eminence Gyalse Trulku Jigme Tenzin Wangpo and his Eminence Tsugla Lopen Karma Rangdrol of Zhung Dratshang. At present, I am a faculty member of Dorden Tashithang Buddhist University and I teach Basic English Course to the students of the University.
