Dorden Tashithang Buddhist University

Dorden Tashithang Buddhist University is situated in the northern region of Thimphu, approximately half an hour drive from the city, nestled within a lush forest that resonates with the sounds of chirping birds. Established in 2015, this institution was founded to advance higher Buddhist studies in Bhutan under the patronage of His Majesty the Fourth King, Jigme Singye Wangchuck, and His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck. The establishment of the university received funding from the Government of India, reflecting the enduring trust and friendship between India and Bhutan.

Translation Division
Translation division has been the priority for the modern education. This was talked with the eminence Dorji Lopen Kinley and the high officials teaming to Punakha Dzong in 2022.
