Dr. Karma Chhoephel
I am Karma Chhoephel born on 15/11/1992 in Larjab Goenpa, Menbi under Lhuentse district, Bhutan. I started reading and writing since I was three years old and got entered as a Lhuentse Jangchhubling sangha member. I was registered in Lhuentse Dzong in 2000 and then started there to study and then passed from the elementary courses. I went to Kidhey Khar shedra in 2008. I got middle secondary Buddhist education under Khenpo Ngawang Tenzin and completed in 2012. I went to Kanglung Shedra and studied under Khenpo Karma Rangdol till 2014. I pursued my education in Tago in 2015 and then had gone to M.A Buddhist Philosophy under Khenchen Kinzang Thinley. I completed M.A in 2017. I had done preliminary course of meditation at Tago in 2018. After officially initiated the PhD program in 2019, I joined as the first batch and started the research of Madyamika. I got to Semtokha Shedra to teach having included as my training program. I passed out my PhD in 2022 in Dorden Tashithang Buddhist University. As per the command from the Central Monastic body, today I serve here as the teacher, teaching Uttara Tantra and Paramita.
