Lopen Jamyang Chhoephel
I was born on the 7th day of 10th month of the female tree ox year of the Bhutanese calendar in the year 1985 at one of the places which is blessed by Guru Rinpoche in Bumthang Chhoekhor valley. Both of my parents raised me with love and care, and at the age of seven I was sent to Chhoekhor Toed Primary School and studied till class seven. As per accumulation merits, it urged an opportunity to become monk in 1996. Starting from reading and writing to Vajrayana rites, I received all the basic educations of monastery from Khenpos and mentors. I also studied profound Buddhist philosophies and logic. In 2013 I did my M.A in Buddhism at Tago Buddhist Institute. Later, I went for Mahamudra preliminary practice at Chari monastery. After completing the preliminary practice, I went to Theg-Chog Sonam Gatshel Meditation Center instituted at Chi-zhi Goenpa the Tara heaven. Over there, I received various teachings of visualization and emptiness, including the six practices of Naropa, from Vajra Master Ngawang Sonam Jamtsho the Vajra holder Buddha in reality. In 2017, after completing the three years meditation successfully, I came at Tago monastery as a lecturer under the command of Monastic Education Office. Having transferred later here, currently I’m serving as a senior lecturer in Dorden Tashithang Buddhist University.
