Khenpo Thoepa Jamtsho
My name is Thoepa Jamtsho, from Gaselo under Wangdiphodrang district. I became monk at the age of seven on 28th March 1990 and had basic monastic education till 1997. In 1998, at the age of fifteen, I took admission at Dodey-Drak monastery for higher Buddhist studies. And then in 2007, at the age of twenty-five, I completed my graduation from Tago Buddhist University. In the year later, I went to Chari monastery for meditation. At the age of twenty-five to thirty, starting from preliminary practices to advance visualization and contemplation, I endeavoured for five consecutive years in meditation. At the age of thirty, I started to serve as a lecturer at Tago, and having transferred, I’m currently serving as Khenpo in Dorden Tashithang University. Now it’s been almost six years preaching Buddhism, and looking forward to keep up going and in the coming future as well.
